How do you make colored background in elevation and section view?
The method I am using right now is to draw an ENORMOUS WALL at the back of the view, and fill it with a color (eg. blue for sky). Another method would be to use Fill Region but it's method I don't want to get into as it would require to trace a very complicated outline of buildings...

Another thing, if I use the "enormous wall" method, when printing, I cannot get it print out properly either. The "background" wall would be mysteriously cropped at the roof the building, which is not what I have specify in the view crop. (I have extended quite a lot to show bits of the "blue sky" above)

Any help would be gladly appreciated on this one !! :D

In a sheet view, drop a jpg over the elevation. The model will show in front of the background jpg.

Wasn't this question asked and answered last week?

The jpg can also be dropped into the sheet view and stretched around so that you can have a shaded with edge view work about right as a contextual elevation.

I might add that Beegee's method can only work with Raster Processing when printing. Vector processing and the background WILL SHOW THROUGH.

True, but raster is not such a biggie ?

Nah, not really ;)... just incase anyone found that this method don't work... it's vector processing in the printing tab that's making the nuisance.. turn to Raster and everything will be fine.
