Hello all,
I'm running AutoCAD 2002. It is freshly installed on a new PC. When I am panning in the paper space mode, it freezes forcing me to close Acad.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks for your help.
I would give more details but don't know what detail to give.
Thanks again!

Thanks again!Louis, I'm going to move this from the acad customization forum to this one, as I believe it will be better served here. Thanks. :)

Thanks again! What Operating system are you running? system specs/ram?
Does this happen on every drawing? or just one/some? I'm assuming there are no error messages popping up?

Operating system is Win XP pro,
Specs are Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 Ghz. 1.00 GB of RAM.
No it doesn't happen on all drawings.
I have noticed it happens on only a few.
You're right there is not error message popping up.

take 2 for attachmentI have tried panning around... in PS... within viewports and without, and have had no problems...
I ran an AUDIT... with the following results...
39 Blocks audited
Pass 1 1900 objects audited
Auditing Entities Pass 1
DXF Name Current Value Validation Default
AcDbLeader(B42D3) annotation id Bad mtext id Disable annotation
AcDbLeader(B436C) annotation id Bad mtext id Disable annotation
Pass 1 6604 objects audited
Pass 2 1900 objects audited
Auditing Entities Pass 1
DXF Name Current Value Validation Default
AcDbLeader(B42D3) annotation id Bad mtext id Disable annotation
AcDbLeader(B436C) annotation id Bad mtext id Disable annotation
Pass 2 6604 objects audited
Pass 3 40900 objects audited
Total errors found 4 fixed 0
decided to run again and fix errors... I'm reposting the file after these errors were fixed, try it and see if it's made any difference...

Thanks for trying. I have open your edited file and with in 10 seconds panning in PS. It did it again (freeze).
Any other suggestions?

Any other suggestions?oh, wait... maybe I do have another suggestion... I noticed when saving it... I got the typical warning dialog about saving aec objects back to previous versions... perhaps you don't have the correct object enablers (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2004-45,GGLD:en&q=autodesk+2002+object+enablers)installed and some vertical elements are what is mucking you up?

Hi
Try plugging the following into the forum search (http://forums.augi.com/search.php?) facility ( Hint - limit your search to the AutoCAD Support (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=177) forum )...
Key Word(s): *Pan* + *Freeze*
Have a good one, Mike
