View Full Version : Input bearings when using dynamic input
Autocad 2006
Does anyone know how to input bearings when using dynamic input? It seems that dynamic input will only accept bearings in the northeast and northwest quadrants.
I thought Dynamic Input used the same angle input modes as all other base Autocad commands - in other words, angle-left from the x-axis. I didn't think any of them did bearings. Did they change this?
There's routines in Land Desktop for drawing lines by bearings, but they don't work via DI.

Do you mean bearings like the following...
Input site coordinates into AutoCAD like 137.12 feet N 48d40'09"...
need help drawing line @196.20'<N82 08'00"W
Have a good one, Mike
Yes like that. You input the distance, then tab to the angle box. When I input the bearing
(S15d32'10"E) in draws a line with the correct angle but in the Northeast Quadrant.
