Can you accurately control the extents of a section box when you orient to 3d views without using grip editing. For example, if you want to "slice" the Revit model into 3d slices of each level for export to ADT/ABS what would be the easiest way? Do the view range settings control the default section box when you orient to a plan view?

The view range/view depth settings do control the section box but only when the section view is first created.

Go to the 3d view, then select view>orient to view, select first floor, then repeat for all other floors. If you want it perfect then adjust the floor plan views , view range so that no geometry is missed.
