I am just trying out publishing to DWF for the first time, and am running ADT5. The publish to DWF command from the Project Navigator defaults to DWF6 ePlot.pc3 and can’t be changed as far as I can see. However, the resulting DWF had lousy resolution. So I changed the setting to 2400 DPI as recommended in several blogs. Now the resolution is OK, but the file loads very slowly into the viewer. So I tried the same sheet using the older DWF ePlot.pc3. The resolution setting for this plot was below the midpoint on the sliding scale (it goes from “Medium” up to “Extreme” but does not show a dpi). The resulting DWF file was 20% smaller, loaded about ten timers faster, and had at least as good a resolution as the 2400 dpi DWF 6 file did. My question is, why use DWF6? Thanks for any response.
