I'm trying to import propertylines created in AutoCAD into Revit. When imported, Revit seems to alter the file so that a slight angle in the top propertyline automatically straightens and no longer meets the corner. I've spent a couple of days on this project already and because of this discrepancy, most of my work has to be undone. There were no errors or warnings when this happened, luckily it was only 2 days worth of work.

I've attached the dwg for anyone interested. Note the upper right-hand corner of the propertyline after imported into Revit.

Thanks

I opened your dwg file in acad lite, zoomed in tight on the intersection of the upper vertical dividing property line, & it seems that the vertical dividing property line extends past the upper horizontal property lines, which is causing the distortion in Revit.

Attached is the file modified so the lines & plines join endpoint to endpoint, It seems to import properly.

Hi,

Thanks for looking into this. I imported your file but get the same results. See attachments.

Thanks

I did not notice that break.

There's a problem with the dwg file. The line segments don't close.

I'd go back to whomever got you the dwg file & tell them the prop lines don't close.

I did trace over the original drawing & got it to close, but it may not match the original legal description.

It's attached below...

Hi Andrew:

Revit just doesn't seem to like this angle. I also tried importing the same file (attached) using a closed polyline as well as a single isolated line getting the same results.

I am now wondering if there are any other dwg incompatibility issues.

Thanks
