Yes, I know this isn't the wishlist
...but, having the ability to set xref paths would be nice.
(Yes, I know it won't save it.)
Case in point: We have a couple of non-CAD users browsing through some archived drawings (using DWG TrueView) - all they know to do is double-click a DWG file.
The xref paths saved in these drawings don't even exist any more. So the drawing opens and 3/4 of it is missing due to unloaded xrefs. I suppose they could figure out the path and name from the text that prints the name of the missing xref in the drawing, but there is still no way to "reload" the missing xrefs - short of finding them all and putting them in the same directory as the main drawing -or- adding their path to the support file search path. --- and then closing and reopening the drawing. Both more difficult.
