Thatch dormer

Hi there

I am needing to model a thatch roof that has two dormer in the roof profile! I understand how to draw a basic dormer, yet need the dormer to have a slope! To achieve a dormer with a slope would it be best to create a reference plane and project a roof by extrussion from that plane or would it be better to create an in place family using a something like a sweep?

I don't get what you mean about the dormer with a slope? Any chance of a sketch to explain?

Not too easy, and to be honest, I've made a bit of a dog's dinner of this. Still, looks alright and kinda works. Could have been done better though.

Interesting problem though. Anyone else fancy a go at this? I'm sure there is a far simpler solution than the one I've done.
