Can someon please look at my file and tell me what I am doing wrong? Im sure it is my lack of knowledge in architecture, but for some reason when make an exit stair tower the railing at the second set of stair seems to be higher than at the flight with the "build-in landing". I assume at this point it has something to do with the weather I start with a riser or end with a riser, but I want to know what the correct way to do this. Also, I ofset a riser to get the railing to turn properly as per some threads I read yesterday. If you take a look at the revit file everything will make more sense as I have annotated my paint points and questions.

Thanks !!! =)

This thread seems to be left out in the dark and no one seems to notice except me as I stumble the same problem and while seaching I found this.

Hope someone could help here.

They are two totally different stairs. Although the same type and the same amount of risers, they begin and end differently. One cannot expect the behavior of the railings to be the same.
As for the cut line, Scenario 1 has 7 risers to the landing and 2 has 8, so of course the cutline is going to move by that 1 or 2 risers.
