Does anyone have a letter that states that whoever is working on your drawings that they abide to the company standards and etc.? After reading and understanding the guidelines of the letter they should sign the letter to signify that the understand.

Thank you,

Brad

the contracts our contractors have to sign say something to the affect that the work done on our campus has to abide by all of the engineering specification manual's... specifications. ~sigh~ I'm section M in that book... most people don't even realize I'm there till I send them a drawing review statement with a big ol' 'F' on it. ;)

Uh......, not really. But it'd prolly go something.................. like this:

1. DO IT MY WAY OR DIE!!! <resistenceisfutileyouwillbeassimilated>
or
2. Do it our way, or you won't get paid.
or
3. Subcontractors must use the provided template files for layering, font, and dimensions...blah blah blah... if you want to get paid.

I'd suggest something along the lines of #3, but only cause I have "special knowledge" :)
However, option 1 is my favorite.

If you want subs to adhere to your standards, ya gotta make it easy for em. Give them your dwt, stb, ctb, etc.

You've got your own Section, and yet you seem so sad about it?
perhaps you should change your name to Aalice and you'll be on the first page. :) :)

hardy-har-har. ;)

I think I should be under -c- for CAD standards, but, spec sections are assigned based on when they were implemented... section -a- is about colour-coded piping or somesuch...
