Strange roof and spot dim connection

This is the first time I noticed that when I place a spot dimension showing the height of the roof, it gets connected to it and when I click the roof, it also turns blue so I can just type the height I want and the roof changes.
This is exactly what I would expect from Revit, this is exactly what I need.
When I tried to do the same thing to another roof, it was not possible. I believe I did exactly the same thing to both, there is not much to do, just place the spot dimension on a roof's corner or side.
Has anyone experienced this problem before? It is very convinient to be able to choose the roof height just by clicking the dim text so please let me know if you can help.

I have the same problem the one spot elevation becomes active but the other one is no active dim.I hope there is someone that can help.

Maybe you placed a Spot Dim on the level line you build your roof on in the first case
and
in the second case you actually placed a Spot Dim on the roofs geometry.
