Material take-off

I have placed crown moulding around several rooms in my project using a sweep solid. In Revit 8.1, is there anyway I can calculate and extract the total linear length of this moulding so that I can add it to a materials schedule for take-off purposes? I understand that the future 9.0 release may include new takeoff tools. Has anyone heard the same?

If you created the sweep using the Hosted Wall Sweep tool, then you can simply click on it an open the properties and it will show the length. For example I have a roof-hosted gutter created as a single continuous sweep around my building. When I look at the gutter's properties, it shows a length of 777 feet.

If you were to create a new - duplicate wall type and add the crown sweep to the wall you could do a wall schedule and filter the schedule by description.
