I am using stacked walls to help me calculate quantities for exteriot stucco and interior gypboard. The lower wall of the stacked wall has stucco on the exterior and gypboard on interior. The Upper wall has stucco on both sides.

The problem that I am having is that on some of the exterior walls there is a line that shows up where the upper and lower wall meet. Please see attached immages.

How can I get rid of these lines? Is there a better way to calculate quantities. I hope I explained this good enough.

Thanks

Max

Use the linework tool and set it to <Invisible lines> . Click the offending line and it will disappear. Do this in any view where you want the line to disappear.

The tool looks like the tip of a fountain pen...

If you are using a wall of "Stacked Wall" type, and the exterior faces are aligned and have the same exact material, you should not see the horizontal line.

So please check if you have properly positioned the subwalls (stack them by finish face exterior) and check if the exterior layer uses the same material.

If you are not using Stacked Wall types, you could try to use "Join Geometry" between the upper and lower walls where you see the unwanted lines. Even then, you need the exterior faces aligned.

Line work should be your last resort.

Let us know if any of this helped.
