Group;

I need to upgrade my system with 1GB of PC800 RDRAM RIMM.
I found this Ram and it cost about $360.00 compared to everyone else that has it for $500 and up. Is this the same quality or should I get the more expensive Ram?

If it were me, I would seriously consider it, as I have brought exspensive name-brand Ram before & still got a dud.

What you have to assure yourself with, if something goes pear-shaped, will the support be there and/or after-sales service.

The price is ok but I do not like it when they will not tell you who it is by!

I also think the $180.00 each price isn’t so bad.

I also found this web site and they have several brands to choose from.

I’m going to get the IBM original. Thanks for the help!

If anyone else needs to shop for RAM, I really like this site for price searching:

http://www.dealram.com (http://www.dealram.com/)

For example, here's the current prices for 512MB PC800 RDRAM that they've found.

This is the best place I found so far and I can get the memory for $130.00 each.
