Is there an easy way to schedule an aluminum window that I created using the curtain wall command? I want to use a window schedule, but it seems that I can only schedule parts of the curtain wall system in a schedule specific to those parts. Or is there a way to convert a curtain wall system to a window? It's a breeze to create a curtain wall (aluminum storefront) window using the curtain wall tools, but a royal pain creating a new window family with family editor using sweeps etc. Any suggestions are much appreciated..

If it's just a punched opening in the wall, with a regular grid, it would probably be better to change it to a window family if you need to schedule it.
Luckily for us we don't do window schedules at my office, we typically just do window type elevations and details, and we have a dumb keynote that looks like a window tag to tag storefront windows as a certain type on the window type elevations.

Agreed,
Making windows is much better and more consistant than trying to use curtain walls. If you create a curtain wall made of 10 panels it will schedule as 10 windows not 1.
