Summary: Have the ability to draw skew lines for creating complex 3d models
Description: Ability to do 3D-based rotations. Inventor only handles rotations, if the rotation axis is in the same plane as the sketch. If they are not parallel, they will intersect somewhere.
A more common solution could handle non-intersections between Sketch and axis, too. (In Germany, we call it "windschief").
How Used: This could be used for simply generating of higher defined surfaces, such as hyperboloids etc. A hyperboloid can be made by a "windschief" rotation of a straight line around the rotation axis.
;-) I'd like to add a sample IPT - if I only could ...
Feature Affinity: Part Modeling
