CIVIL 3D 2006 - Grid Views

Having problems trying to edit both profiles and alignments using the 'Grid View' icon. Whenever I click on it, the panorama window never pops up, and it just says 'cancel' on the command line. Any ideas on how to fix this?

What happens if your drawing is not maximized when you try to open the panorama?
