Hi there

Just a quick question, hopefully with a simple answer! How in Revit do you dimension between two points? For example I need to dimension between two walls that are not parallel to each other. I have attached an image of what I am talking about!

Thanks a stack

First draw a line perpendicular to the wall you are going to dimension. Then place your dimension starting from this line, then the two end points, then select the line again to remove that witness line. Delete the unwanted perpendicular line. Or finish dimensioning and then delete the perpendicular line.

Clear-ish? :)

Or could simply press tab while holding your mouse over that point and it should pick up it up for you top select.

As far as I know yes. I do it fairly often for families where I need to select only a point and you can also do this for a wall. Now and then you might come across a situation where you would have to do what you do but for most of the time you can simply just tab.
