Summary: A setting that would automatically set parameters for export
Description: I wish there was a setting for derived parts when exported parameters were derived in, they were automatically set as exported.
How Used: Many of my designs have a structure as follows:
MASTER_SKETCH.ipt => PART_BASE.ipt => PART_XXX.ipt
the arrow => denotes that the child on the right is derived from the parent on the left.
The PART_BASE part has features common to all the specific parts and the PART_BASE passes all the exported parameters from the MASTER_SKETCH to the PART_XXX.
The issue is when new exported parameters are added to the MASTER_SKETCH. Then I must open the PART_BASE, Update, open the parameters, and check the newest parameter for export. When there are many different base parts for different uses, this gets very tedious when a new parameter is added to the MASTER_SKETCH.
If there were an option for derived parts to automatically export any imported parameters, this would save me many minutes and mouse clicks.
Feature Affinity: Part Modeling
