Cannot create dashed symbolic lines in curtain wall family?

Hi all,

I want to change the symbolic lines that represent an operable window to be dashed. I cannot figure out how to do this. Line styles are greyed out and the edit properties button will not give me the options I need. Ideas?

You need to make a new object style(that uses the linetype you want) within the family editor, then assign the lines to that object style
