Oval or Irregular Grid

Any ideas on how to create an irregular or oval grid.

While I can use a combination of straight and arced grid lines, turning off the grid bubbles, I would prefer a method for creating a single grid line.

Gridlines has you have probably sorted out by now are limited to a unique name per segment. The only way you can make a multi-segment grid is to fake it, by either turning off bubbles, setting up a separate grid type that doesn't display bubbles or using linework to complete the remainder after place the first segment.

It is a fairly common request or comment at least. I don't know if we'll get the wish though. I imagine it makes quite a conundrum to determine how to show that multi-segment object in various views. Maybe that's why after all these years ArchiCAD still makes you draw them in each view?
