Any tips on properly cropping interior elevations? The cropping window is rectangular. How do I crop casework or soffits for example? Irregular viewports would certainly be helpful for this. I suppose a filled region with a hole in it could work but this seems like a lot of extra work

One way.

Callouts (rectangular) of the areas in question on the elevation.

When placed on a sheet they'll refer back properly.

You can then turn off things (walls, windows, etc) that you don't want to see in the view.

Jerry,

No really perfect way to do it. You may check out this post for some discussion on the issue...

The filled region with a hole(s) in it is the method I use. It does take a few minutes to setup on a complex elevation, but I have to say I'm very happy with the graphic results.

I use the donut shaped filled region also. I combine it with a break line (detail component) if one side of the elevation does not have a wall (partially elevated hallway for instance)
