Hi, I seem to be having some trouble with this repeatedly. I changed the door frame, jamb, and moulding to painted - white and it will show properly in the properties list and it will show properly in shaded views. However, as you can see it did not render correctly! Can any one offer some ideas or feedback on this.
As an aside to this render issue..... The railings and lattice was to be painted white also. They are marked as such in the properties for the individualy items that make the balusters, rails, pickets, and lattice....BUT in the shaded view they show as grey and the same happened in the rendered view!
Thanks in advance!
Hi tc3dcad. Check in the family that you have given the pieces a material parameter. This should fix your problem. If your not sure what I mean have a look at the picture. There is a little grey box next to your material command which will make a parameter of the material.
Make sure you have a material selected in the Accurender area. You are talking about "shaded views" not rendered views. To totally different effects. If you want to get a better representation of your true color use advanced model graphics and turn on shadows.

Thanks Elmo and SJSL,
It was correct in the properties dialogue but was not on the Accurender section for materials. ~sheepish grin~ guess I still have a few things to learn!
What about this though.....

Maybe I am not sure where to look for this too but I have looked everywhere I can and they are marked painted-white. I guess I will keep looking though.

I know one issue that sometimes plaques radiosity users is white-whites. At the default settings they almost always come out more grey than white (which looks like what might be happening to you). The solution (at least in Viz and VizRender) is to use a map for the paint instead of color swatch and to blow it out a bit by increasing the RGB and/or Output numbers (I go from 1 to 2 on both in Viz and this allows me to get more realistic and convincing whites). I don't know if the Accurender engine has the same problems or where or how you would affect the same change but the concepts are probably similar. Good luck!
