Hi
The following post is always a good place to start for such requests ( in my humble opinion )...

Have a good one, Mike

Are you looking for 2d or 3d data?
If the latter, what 3d cad systems are you using?

I recall an article I read - probably quite a few years ago now - about the South African Institute of Structural Engineers - I believe that is the right name - working from memory here.
These guys had devised consistent in-depth structural details for all types of structures - this was; at that time; available as a publication - my thinking here is that they have hopefully reproduced this info in cad format so users can use it directly.
Might be worth following up - let me know how you get on.

Brett,
I know this is two month's late, however I thought I would post. I am civil, so I will answer the civil part. If you are looking for lift station details, manholes, inlets and such, see who is selling the actual items in your area. The contractor has to submit shop drawings to your office for approval. The get the shop drawing from the manufacturer. See where I am going with this? If the manufacturer wants to sell their item, they most likely wont have a problem letting you have their drawings. I have had good luck w/ this and the less details my office has to draw, the more we make! Hope this helps, Rich

Are there city standards in your area? I know that if I got to the city websites, I can generally find both PDFs & DWGs of what I need. We also have them built into our dymanic blocks........well, some of the more commonly used ones. Our standards are slowly being worked into our custom menus.

this may be a little late here but most companies will supply fast track drawings for you. We use alot of pipes, pumps etc and have managed to get alot of them from suppliers to help out. The way I did it was to send an email out to all engineers that when they had dealings with suppliers they were to ask if they had fast track info that we could use. failing that you could always ask direct yourself.
