Loving....absolutely loving the new Room function. Sections showing room names with offset constraints. Great stuff!

Wishlist Item 1 for the new Room Function:
When dragging the location of a section line, I would like the room names to update in that section.
(some people are so ungratefull arent they!!) Thanks team!

HECK YES! You should submit a support request.

Tags are associated with the object they tag, in this case rooms. The entire logic behind tagging would have to change to pull this off. Take a door in this same situation, tag a door in a section view then move the section to a new part of the building. The tag is still there but no door, no automatic update.
It would be nice though...

It's because tag placement is view-specific, correct?

It's because tag placement is view-specific, correct? Not really, we are talking about the same view changing its cut plane (the section moving to a new spot). The tag is associated with a specific object, not just identifying whatever object is underneath it. When you drag a door tag away from a door and over another it doesn't change either.

What would be nice is if the tags were added automatically (and centered) to each room in a section view (similar to how grids and levels are added) - allowing the user to then move them if desired. Later, if the section cut is moved, all the room tags are deleted and new tags added (maybe only the tags are deleted for rooms that are no longer being cut).
V9 is defiantly a step in the right direction!

Couldn't you erase tags and do tag all untagged after you changed the section location?

The new room functions are great - but what do i do if my floor offset from its level?
I am working on a parking structure under a building and have a situations where the room floor is raised or sloped in some areas of the level, and when I attempt to tag those rooms the tag either doesn't see walls (and they are set as room binding) or it tries to tag the rooms below this level.
- Any way that I can change where the room tag cuts through to look for room binding walls?
- Or any way that I can set an offset bottom/base level so that it is not seeing the floor as the actual level I'm working on?
This problem seems be exasperated by the fact that I'm using plan region views to show the higher levels. This is also coming up for a few people in our office and we would ALL appreciate an answer - thanks in advance.
