I have a project that has a masonry fireplace on the first floor and a masonry
chimney to the roof. Its a mixed bag.

I would like the first floor view exterior (A) except for the mantle and hearth (B) on the 2nd floor. I would like the Mantle and hearth (B) on the first floor to stay on the first floor and a modified 2nd floor (A) to be on the first floor (show the masonry box only without the wings on each end.

Also the 2nd floor should not have a mantle or hearth and no wall break.

I sent a section and elevation of the fireplace if it would help. I tried to do plan
region but still could not get the look I wanted.

Please help me to figure this one out. Thanks

I think the reason the wings are showing up is that they are not high enough above the fire box. Are the Fireboxes stacked directly above each other?

Thanks for a reply Andrew. The thing that is weird here is that there
is only one firebox and its located on the first floor. If I had multiple
fireboxes, I would understand some of the duplication of mantles,
hearths, etc.

Is the mantle an imported family in the fireplace that has a vertical line thats is touching the second floor?
