Default 3d view all grey

I don't get any colour display in my default 3d view?? whats happening

do the materials have color assigned? many of the default materials start grey.

Yes....there could be a few things that could cause this....If you still have difficulty, could you give us a few of the properties of the view?....Maybe a few properties of the materials....we can help if we know a bit more

Check your 3D view's phase and phase filter. These overrides usually are the culprit.
