FOOTING SHOWING UP OVER BEAM

What do I need to do to get the footing to lay down in plan underneath
the beam as it shows in section. It shows as if its over the beam
which its not.

I found a solution to one part of the problem, had my view range
set to unlimited and once I turned its depth limit to basement
I got the plan view I wanted.

I still don't know why the footing which is 10 or more feet
below the beam showed up on top of the beam. Any thoughts?
