Grid Bubble Visibilty V9

Cut a section with grids turned on, they show up fine but only one of them can be turned on or off. They were all created at the same time, same phase, same workset. The ones that cannot be turned off I noticed the ckeck box(bubble) is below the actual bubble. When pulled up above grid bubble it will not let me put a check mark in it, but shows a ref. line to the other ones.

Is it possible that one of them is a 2d grid and the rest are 3d (or vice versa?)
