View Full Version : Section bubbles with no tail

I am making my typical details as drafting views. Some of the typicals refer to others. For instance our "Rebar at Wall Intersections and Corners" refers back to the bar lap schedule for values.

I would like to be able to reference the section with a bubble that has no tail. But I cannot seem to find a bubble with no tail, or produce one.

Am I on the right track here? Anybody done this yet? Any ideas?

Thanks.

1. Copy a Section Tail Family and delete all geometry and types then Save with a new name.
2. Load Empty Section Tail Family into project.
3. Settings -> View Tags -> Section Tags ...
4. Duplicate a Type and Rename (for example: Section Head - Filled, Section Tail - None)
5. Set the Section Tail Parameter of this new type to be the empty Section Tail Family you just loaded into the project.
6. Place a Section Cut in your project referenced to your standard detail.
7. Right Click properties on the Section Cut, edit the type and toggle the Section Tag parameter to your newly created type.

When did you switch over to MEP? ;)

Thanks Paul I wondered if that would work....but it still has the line going to the tail.
