Two Questions Regarding Revit on a Network:

1. By default, the Revit.pat file is stored locally (C:Program FilesAutodesk Revit Building 9Data). Is it possible to have the pattern file stored on the network server instead?

2. Now that I've installed Revit and customized file locations on the network, is there a way to update that information in network deployment files.

1. No. You will have to create a batch file that copies the pat file over after installation

2. Same thing, have a batch file overwrite the Revit.ini file with your custom Revit.ini, this is where all the paths are stored

If you install Revit using the network deployment tool it will create the .ini file with the proper file locations on the network. We were able to get the msi then to work with our install program and it pushed the install to all workstations.

In the past I have also gotten 1 workstation up and running then batch copied the .ini file to the workstations.
