Stair Problems

I'm trying to create a simple "L" shaped stair but keep getting this error: "Stairs require no more than two boundaries (chains of one or more Boundary Lines)". I've done many of these types of stairs before in Revit 8.1 can I not do an L shaped stair in Revit 9?

That's exactly what I'm trying to do (like your att.) When I draw my boundry in just a random L shape it works. But when I trace lines I've drawn for a precise fit it doesn't. Very strange and frustating.

Trying drawing it randomly then move over your precise linework.
Can you post a sketch ?
