Slow, especially with Options, veryyyyyyy slowwww with Options. As I understand it, software code wrapup involves tweaking the code to bring it back up to speed. The release version doesn't seem to have gone through that.

Running off the download version, which curiously, has a build indicating a 3/28 date (20060328_2300). Someone in this forum said the disks were the same build. Maybe should check to see if that's true.

No one else experiencing this?

Worked on a project today with 5 options. Saw no slowdown.

Might be something other than the options causing it.

Thanks, Andrew. I'll try re-installing. I downloaded before removing the Beta and I'm thinking maybe something didn't get fully switched out.

There's definitely a difference between projects created in R9 and those upgraded from R8 to R9. Those upgraded are slower in both activating Options and de-activating options. I live in options and large files, so I will likely not be upgrading my current projects to R9.

I posted on the same thing. Check this thread. (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=37606)

Thanks, Taylor. I also posted on the Beta site and will now post your link to the Beta site.

I'm still curious if I'm the only one. For my upgraded files, turning on AND turning off options is 3 times as slow.

Yep. Guess I'll have to send it in to support. I tried creating new options as a workaround, thinking I could transfer in, but it didn't help.

PROBLEM SOLVED !!!

Before sending the files off to support, I decided to “purge unused”. That did it. Apparently, by getting rid of v.8 elements, even though unused, cleared things. I guess the Options On/Off procedure runs through these old, but unused elements, for some reason.

I sent in an FYI-PROBLEM SOLVED to Subscription Support.

(Moderator, I'm going to post this on Tips &Tricks, too - does that make sense?).

I have noticed a considerable drag opening the shipped version but once it is up it runs great!

Yeh. I too think it's a hair slower, and even at that only intermittantly so I wasn't sure if it wasn't me. But other than my "options" problem, it's too insignificant for me to worry about.
