Can someone clue me in as to how to accomplish a footing extension past the end of the associated wall?

If the footing is added as a sweep within the wall style, just move the mouse over the edge of the footing and tab until it's selected- then drag it away from the wall. You can also use the Align tool.

In this case, I used the structural wall footing. Any thoughts there?

I made the decision to use ref. lines or planes and lock it.

I do not think it's possible using the footing tool.

Simply add an isolated structural footing the length, width and thickness to the end of your wall structural footing to entend it and then join geometry to blend them together.

the length of the footing is determined by the wall length. An extension past the end of the wall is not possible at present.

If you schedule your footings, adding an isolated footing to the end of the continuous footing would screw up your schedule. You would have more concrete under isolated footings and less under wall footings. The factory really needs to address this issue.
