I have thousands of curtain panel windows that need to be tagged in plan in the set. I do not want to manually move every tag into place, but instead use the the 'tag all not tagged' and default placements.

When I edited the curtain panel family, it became larger and all of my already placed tags moved out of position?!? I have no idea what is deciding where the tag's origin is in the family. Is it the origin in the family? Is it the center of the extents of the family? Is there a way to set this?

Please help, so that I can Tag and leave Tagged instead of re-placing tags every day.

Thanks!

ok - I figured it out - I create reference planes and define them as the origin.... the tag places itself relative to that intersection.

Ok - I still don't understand.... No matter where I set the origin, revit still offsets the tag a certain distance. Does anyone know what determines this ditance? For example, I can never make it place the tag directly on top of the window in plan.
