CSI Numbering

I was about to develop Keynotes based on the CSI 50 Divisions I just contacted CSI, it seem you need to have purchased their book to use MasterFormat numbering system and Titles for you own use in your drawings, if don't purchase the book you have a copyright violation. If you export it there is another licensing fee.

Then there are a lot of architects out there infringing on the copyright. I have the software from ARCOM, but can this be used to reference in the drawings without infringing? Doesn't appear so if that is what they told you. Is revit infringing with the new detail libraries?

If that's the case, they really should quit giving it away for free on their website. I downloaded a 170 page pdf from them that told me everything I needed to know.
