I have created some masses using sweeps. I would now like to turn these masses into floors, so I selected the floor by face option and it will not recognize any of the masses??!! What's up with that? I guess I don't know the limitations. Could someone clarify?

Thanks,

Josh

Select your mass, and then click the Floor Area Faces button in the options bar. Check the corresponding levels you want to create floor faces for. Then, you can use the Floor by Face tool to create floors for the floor faces you've created.

You will also want to have all the necessary levels in you project to cut the floors, as Revit uses this for the calculation.

Hey,

Thanks for the responses. I associated the mass with multiple levels, one of which cut the mass and the tool still does not work? Any suggestions?

1. Select the Mass.

2. Select Floor Area Faces from Options Bar.

3. From pop-up menu, select the levels on which faces are to be created.

4. Select Floor By Face and select " Multiple" from the Option Bar, then select the floor faces, then select " Create Floors " from the Options Bar
