Hi Phil
Please note I've *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD Customization (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=118) Forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.
Thanks, Mike

If your talking about the text mask express tool you can toggle
your frames on and off using wipe-out / frames / off
Hope this helps

I posted this question before but never did get an answer. Thought it would be simple. How do you do masked text via the express tools without a box around it. It displays correctly but prints with a box.
Thank You,
Phil

Do you have "tframes" turned on?

Tframes is off and it displays accordingly but plots with box.

I posted this question before but never did get an answer. I've merged your two threads together dealing with the same question.
To bump up an old unanswered post that you've made, simply post a reply to your original thread. If you can't find it quickly, click on your username (in a post or via the 'whose online' feature) to have an option to 'Find all posts by' your username. :)

Richard McDonald (reply above) was correct:
Use the command "wipeout" then type "f" (for frames) then type "off".
You also need to make sure you have selected your text and "Bring to Front" (if it is not in front, it will dispplay correctly but will not print.
I don't use text mask from Express Tools (I use wipeout), so this may not work, but I assume a mask is a mask.
You may also want to highlight the 'box' and check its properties...I believe you can change the style of mask that is used (similar to a cut line style).
Btw...your x-refs are missing from your example drawing :)
