curtain wall export to DWG

i have a CW system, there's 4 panel types in it (dark glass and spandrel, light glass and spandrel) we had to put a solid hatch material to it with the colors we needed for it to print nicely in hidden mode AND in shaded with edges mode.

Now we have an export problem.. when exported, it shows up in DWG as just one color, being the layers color. is there any way, in 8.1 or 9, to get the panels to export to respective layers so they show up the right color? (or at least 4 independant layers with independant colors that can be changed after)

Not really but you can access sub-category in export . Use subcategory instead of material, then you will be able to control which layer they export to.
