I'm trying to create 3 different blocks using attributes w/ visibility function. So far my dynamic block moves lines & text except my attributes. I have created different attributes for each view but only the attributes of the first block shows up, Do you know why?
Have you tried a search (http://forums.augi.com/search.php?) of the AutoCAD Dynamic Blocks (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=198) forum for attribute (http://forums.augi.com/search.php?query=attribute&forumchoice=198&childforums=1&titleonly=0&showposts=0&do=process)?

Thanks, it's working now.
Was there any particular solution that helped?

Hi "jchinchilla" ( Sorry, I do not know your real name )
Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD Customization (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=118) forum to this one, as I feel this particular forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.
Thanks, Mike

Well I have learned some tips:
1. Create your attributes inside your dynamic block. Copy and paste didn't work for me.
2. if you edit a dynamic block with attributes in your current drawing; you have to wblock your dynamic block, purge your block from your current session and re-insert your dynamic block, otherwise you won't get your latest changes.
3. Use "Battman" to re-organize your attributes, in case the order of your attributes was changed, and follow step 2.
If someone has a better way, please let us know.
Thanks

so far everyting you've said makes sense. Purging the DBs is almost completely necessary when talking about updating an existing DB - bringing it in from another source. In my experience failure to do so will result in corrupt DBs or wonky working DBs.
Personally, though, I've found that when editing DBs with attributes within your drawing, it's not necessary to w-block. It's been purely enough for me to delete it and re-insert it.
But hey, to each his own. Whatever gives ya peace of mind.

Whatever gives ya peace of mind.when using the BATTMAN command, don't forget about the SYNC button, i haven't had to purge & re-insert using that button. it updates new/ changed attributes in existing DB's. just make sure to have the 'master' block name present in the block list, and not one of the 'annonymous' block names.
