So for 9.1 or 10.0, how about the ability to have multiple sheet sets.
You could have a nested tree below the Sheets Title and the Drawing list could have a pick box for the appropriate set. I'm working on several projects where I've got Planning & Zoning Sets, SD or DD sets, 8-1/2 x 11 tear sheets for presentations & investors, etc. I have to manage different sheet names and when I print I have to go through and fix the Drawing list or set up a manual Legend. Maybe you could even assign the specific title block to the sheet set as a whole - at least as an option.
Also, why is it you can right click on Sheets and get a 'New Sheet' option, but you can't do that with Schedules or any of the other types that you have to go to View>New to get?
I know, one suggestion per thread...

You are aware that you can save sheet sets ?
To save a View/Sheet set, click Save As, and enter a name. This saves the View/Sheet set with the project for future use.

That works great for batch printing, but doesn't address the drawing list or sheet naming, not to mention just the basic visual organization...

One new project parameter "Sheet Purpose" that you could filter the drawing lists with would do this? Just copy the schedules and apply different filter rule. Put the schedules on separate cover sheets for each purpose?

No Jeff, Bruce is right. I just discovered sheet sets this week and they're awesome. There's not only used for printing, but also to help you organize your project browser. So for instance I create a sheet set for my AP sheets only, or AE's only etc (update your sets when you add a sheet to your project....then you have to set your sheet organization to something else and revert back to refresh, as it won't automatically update). Then, go to Settings->Browser Organization, click the Sheets tab, click New or edit an existing organization, and uder the Filter tab, filter by "Print Set". You'll be able to select any list, which could be all your AP's etc. Use the Folders tab to group by Sheet Number and select 2 leading characters. That way, you'll have your sheets organized under AE, AS, AP, Ai AF......you get the point :)

We've added a few fields to the draiwng list table, and filter by different parameters to get multiple sets, and multiple lists of drawings in a single set. Once you've added the field, you can also edit your browser organization (under settings) to group sheets into various sets, purposes, or other category groupings.
We also include fields for providing discipline headers and non-alphabetical sorting to our sheet lists.

Thanks Januson - that worked much better than Print sets since you can group by the new field, but with Print sets one can only use the filter.

I have actually now started using custom parameters which I need to make my sheet list organized in a specific manner. I have two parameters: "Sheet Group Heading" and "Sheet Sorter". In "Sheet Group Heading" for instance, I type "ARCHITECTURAL PLAN ELEMENTS" and the "Sheet Sorter" would be "15_AP". The number is necessary for me to organize the sheets in a specific manner. I have a dummy project with all other consultant dummy sheets set up there and my sheet list (in main project) updates automatically. I use the "Sheet Sorter" parameter to set my browser the way I want it and the changes are instant. This is a plus over using Sheet Sets.
