Who has Loaded and used '07 so far? Any issues on loading and using? Did you leave the previous version on, or did you remove it and then add '07?
We recieved ours the other day and would like to load it, but i do not want to mess with it now if it is just going to give me problems.

Removed 06 and then installed 07. Not using in production though.
Keep in mind that if you install 07, then later UNinstall 06, you have to run a repair on the 07 install. See: http://rkmcswain.blogspot.com/2006/04/read-me-they-mean-it.html

...and here is some more text since this silly forum says my message is too short
I installed 07 without first removing 06. I wanted to migrate all my 06 settings, but can't seem to be able to do that. There was no choice to do so through the installation process. Support documentation says that a dialog box will load at 07 startup - haven't seen it. Documentation also says that migration is possible from the start menu - but there is no app for migration in the start menu tree under the C3D'07 group and i can't seem to find any such app on the software dvd. I am running an upgrade version on a standalone installation. What am i doing wrong?
Thanks

Have you checked the CUI area? I beleive they included it in that section once you open it. (At least in the Beta that's where I think it was). We should be getting our updates in the next week or so so I will know more then.

RK,
I must wholeheartedly agree with you on that one!
I have yet to attempt a migration that either correctly brought over everything or was able to bring it across and warn me of what wasn't working.
I am a firm believer in starting from a clean install and building from there since you never know what 'bug' fixes changed in the way things run.
Thanks RK and MH. RH - wow - you're good.
Having agreed with you guys, I went ahead and did a 'fresh' configuration.
I must say that I agree with some of the posters in that list you gave, RK, in wondering why the help documentation still refers to stuff that isn't current. It seems to be an ongoing problem with AutoDesk - perhaps in their tight timelines to get releases out as soon as possible.
Anyway - thanks again,
GB

From past experience in the software devlopment world - documentation is the last thing to get attention.

I have installed ADT07 with the same results as above NO MIGRATE I've installed 2 ADT07 on 2 different machines, did custom install on one and Typical install on the other. both did not come up with migrate on first run of 07 as the documentation suggested it would. I have tried the CUI from 06 to 07 and I have the same issues as above posts as well.
1/ Now 06 has a migration tool "Migrator.exe" where is it for 07?
A fresh install is all very good and nice if you have time, but Autodesk document a migrate facility, where is it?
2/ And because I have not had time to customize my ADT07 at the moment I've gone back to using my ADT06 but now the drawings I opened in 07 having saved them back to 06 files get an error message when cut and paste,
ARX_ERROR: eNotThatKindOfClass
ARX_ERROR: eNotThatKindOfClass
ARX_ERROR: eNotThatKindOfClass etc I need to hold down the escape key for 30 sec's before it gives up.
I send CAD files to other Architects who have not upgraded yet so I dont want to have them not be able to use our files.
Stuck between a rock and hard place now, can anyone help with these 2 issues?
