Hello All,

I am looking for a way to use formulas in my window/door schedule.
I built a window in my families and entered the family types to have different perimeters i.e. window height - 5' 0"
window width - 7' 0"
transom height - 2' 0"

i made a parameter formula to find total height "window height + transom height" which gave me the answer i was looking for 7' 0" but in my schedule i want to show "Width x Height" together. ex: 5' 0" x 7' 0"

I could use any tips anyones has.

Thank you

Christine

Go to your schedule, then to view properties, select the fields tab, and add a calculated value parameter, i.e window area.

Select area as the parameter type and then for the formula total height*width, or whatever you've named the width & height parameters.

Thank you for the answer but what I was looking for was for the schedule to show both the width and the length together

Window R.S.O.

5' x 7'

In other words I am looking for a way to add words/letters in the formula.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Christine

May not be the answer your looking for, but assuming each window size is a different type, you could name each type by it's size, i.e 5' x 7', and then use that field in your schedule.

What you are looking for is a concantation feature which is not there. i.e. '5'-6" x ' & '7'-0"'
