is there a way to stop this from happening when exporting to a dwg.

What is it you want to happen when it exports? It has always created blocks from the families. That's how you'd place such objects in cad, true? If you want just lines, then you can explode all blocks afterward.

yeah it is probably a stupid question , but i dont have a program to explode these blocks.
im using a rendering software next to Revit , its not max. so i find it annoying to have these blocks.
but theres nothing i can do it seems.

aaah! I see! Everyone has AutoCAD, true?!? Poor assumption eh? What software are you using for rendering? You might also try a post in the AutoCAD forum, there may be some shareware that can explode blocks in a dwg without AutoCAD?? Then again someone here might have a tip/trick?

ok ill look in the autocad forum.
eh i would like to import 3D dxf in Cinema4d. looks good except for the blocks they move to 0,0,0.
