Imported from what?
LandXML file?
Drawing file?

...or do you mean import as in "draw in the drawing"...?

If the latter, the surface will be displayed as defined by it's style.

Are you talking about the .txt and .flt that contains the points and breaklines?

If so try this:

In the Prospector palette expand surfaces. Either create a new surface or expand an existing surface you want to add the files too. Expand the Definition under the surface. For the .flt files right click on "Breaklines" and select add. In the "Add Breaklines" dialog select "From file" from the dropdown under "Type:". When you select OK you get a select file dialog. Just select the .flt file you want. For the points, right click on "Point Files" under "Definition" and select add. In the file select dialog box just select the .txt file that goes with the .flt file.

You may need to play with the surface style to display the contours, but thats it.

Hmmm. I think what Mark was asking was how to import a .TIN file from LDT. If so, it is pretty easy. In LDT when you create a surface, a .tin file is created. In C3D, just right click on Surface within prospector and you will see the Import TIN option

And if you need to import multiples, yuou can go to FILE>Import>Import data from land desktop.
If you're importing large surfaces, I recommend importing one at the time - it's a memory hog.
