aligning floor patterns

I'm sure this has come up before, but I can't find it. I've got a small project where we are continuing the floor finish outside to balconies. I'm using a model surface pattern on the floor to identify the flooring. My client and the interior designer keep asking me to align the floor pattern so that the grout joints continue. Is there a way to adjust the starting point of a surface pattern like with a hatch?

If you are using a model pattern, you can use the align tool to align the joints.
