Wall Sweeps over multiple windows

Is there a quick way to create wall sweeps over a number of window heads? I have been going nuts trying to get this brick soldier coursing to start and stop as shown.
I have been creating multiple sweeps on the same wall face and then dragging the shape handle to suit the window. The last one I did (the attached) 'magically' did this and I can't figure out why the others in the buidling are just able to span a single window head.
I want to do these as 'real' sweeps rather than just painting them on because of the number of wall sections and details through the building.
Any help appreciated.

You need to add it to the window family. Open the window you are using and add a solid extrusion above the window for your brick soldier, set a subcategory and material and then reload and all your windows will now have brick heads
