Please, if you're not a good speller, use the SPELL Checker! ;)

And, if you're frustrated by AutoCAD finding all your abbreviations and part numbers in your annotations, create a custom dictionary and point your:

OPTIONS
Files
Text Editor, Dictionary, and Font Files Names
Custom Dictionary File
"To Your networked shared custom dictionary file goes here.cus"

Cheers,

Robert

Does this work on older versions of AutoCAD and LT?Hi

Please define "older versions".

AutoCAD 2000 could make use of a Custom Dictionary, sorry I can not remember further back than that...

Have a good one, Mike

Give it a try- just open Notepad and type in your abbreviations and other items you want SPELL to recognize. Save the file with your company's name and a .cus extension...then point that location to your file.

Cheers,

Robert

Does this work on older versions of AutoCAD and LT?

It works in R14.
I think it works back to R12.

BTW, if you name your custom dictionary with a DIC extension, it can be used with both Word and AutoCAD. [That's old info, it could be out of date].
