I'm creating a plan with areas called out for all my rooms. Some of the areas are small enough that the area tag is relatively large -- larger than the room -- and it overlaps walls making it difficult to read. I'd like to be able to move the area tag outside the room with a leader to the room. Of course, when I do I get an error message. Is this possible?

If you are using Revit 9, define the area using 'Area' not 'Area Tag' and then you can toggle the leader on, which allows you to pull the label away from the actual area.

I found it's acutally available in 8.1 also. Under properties - type properties, I can select an arrowhead type, then I get the leader checkbox and can pull the tag away from the room.
Thanks!
