User Defined Selection Filters - WHERE??

I've read the 'Top New Features' list for 9.0 and it has User Defined Selection Filters....can't find it in the help.

Is this being confused with the new Vis/Graphics override that will allow different display through filtering...if so, Can it be used to 'select' members that match a filter??

It is the filter associated with visibility graphic overrides for views. Filters can be set up via Settings menu > Filters... While intended to permit discreet control over objects in a view you can certainly use it to filter objects for selection.

Personally, I'd call it the "slow road" for such a purpose but possible. Set up a working view of the project and apply a filter or "three" to reduce the objects visible down to what you want to select.
